provider: how mail is sent.SMTPuses the settings in this block.PANO_MAILsends through the Pano Mail of the Pano account this installation is connected to, and the SMTP settings are not used. Default SMTP. Switch it in Panel → Settings → Platform instead of editing the file.host-managed,host-senderandcustomonly matter on a Pano Host instance; leave them alone elsewhere.host-managed:truemeans this block follows the instance's Pano Host mail and is rewritten on every boot. Saving other mail settings in Panel → Settings sets it tofalse, so they stay. Default true.host-sender: the sender used with Pano Host mail instead of the instance's default, kept across boots. Empty (null) means the default.custom: a copy of your own SMTP settings (sender, hostname, port, username, password, ssl, starttls, authMethods), kept while Pano Host mail is in use so switching back to them loses nothing. Filled in automatically.
Pano Mail
Pano Mail is e-mail sending that comes with your Pano account, so you do not need a mail server of your own. Pick Pano Mail instead of Own mail server in the e-mail step of the setup wizard, or later in Panel → Settings → Platform. The installation must be connected to your Pano account.
- Free plan. Free for every account, with a monthly and a daily allowance (the panel shows both), and it works right away with no set-up. Bigger plans can be chosen on the Pano website.
- Sender address. Every account gets one free address on a subdomain we give you. It can be renamed but not removed. You can also add your own domain on the Pano website, which asks you to add a few DNS records. The part before the
@can be changed in the panel. - Usage. The panel shows what was used today and this month, and when the allowance resets. You are warned when you get close to a limit, and e-mail pauses until it resets or you choose a bigger plan.
- On the Pano website. The E-mail tab of your account shows the plan, the usage of all your Panos and a log of the e-mails sent in the last 30 days.
